Ambidex Inc., a US-based technology consulting company, is hiring a Bookkeeping/Property Accounting Specialist to support a Texas-based hospitality and real estate business operating multiple properties and business entities.

Summary
Manage the day-to-day financial operations of a US-based hospitality and real estate business. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate books across multiple properties and entities, monitoring expenses and cash flow, preparing financial reports, coordinating with external accountants, and providing reliable financial information that supports business decisions.
Responsibilities
- Record, classify, and maintain daily financial transactions including revenue, expenses, invoices, receipts, vendor payments, payroll-related entries, and intercompany transactions across multiple properties and business entities
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger activities, bank and credit card reconciliations, inventory records, and cost of goods sold (COGS) tracking to ensure accurate and up-to-date financial records
- Monitor expenses, cash balances, and operating performance; identify discrepancies, investigate issues, and resolve accounting variances in a timely manner
- Prepare monthly Profit & Loss statements, Cost of Goods Sold, Balance Sheets, Cash Flow reports, and property-level financial reports for management review and decision-making
- Organize financial records and provide reconciliations, reports, and supporting documentation required by external accountants, tax professionals, payroll providers, and auditors
- Coordinate vendor payments, maintain business records, and manage accounting and administrative processes that support day-to-day business operations
Qualifications
- Proficiency with QuickBooks, Xero, or similar accounting software and strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping, accounting principles, financial reporting, reconciliations, and business operations
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting US-based businesses or working directly with US clients
- Experience in hospitality, hotel, real estate, property management, construction, retail, or multi-location businesses
- Familiarity with payroll processing, sales tax, occupancy tax, 1099 reporting, and compliance-related activities
